Dale Adair

     Growing up in a Drum Corps family, Dale got an early start at age twelve playing snare for the Golden Eagles Drum and Bugle Corps. Then, on to the 507 Hornets and ultimately as a charter member of the Crossmen from 1975 to his age out year 1978.  The following 3 years Dale remained with the corps as a member of the percussion staff.  

     
In addition to working with the Crossmen, Dale has been an instructor and arranger with numerous junior and senior corps including P A L Cadets, Madison Scouts, Archer Epler Musketeers, NY Skyliners, and Reilly Raiders Alumni Corps and with a number of Philadelphia area high schools including Bensalem, Hammonton, Father Judge, Haverford, Neshaminy, Eastern and Archbishop Ryan. Dale is highly regarded for his creativity, style, enthusiasm and approach by his students and his fellow instructors.

     In 1983, Dale began a lifelong career as a highly respected percussion judge. First with the National Judges Association for 23 years followed immediately by his current position with the Cavalcade of Bands.  Dale also served on Crossmen’s Board of Directors in 1993 and 94. He has continued to support the Crossmen and the Crossmen Alumni Association including his commitment to take the lead with the Play in the Park percussion line for two years.

     Dale is a member of the World Drum Corps Hall Fame inducted in 2013.
The Crossmen Alumni Association is proud to induct Dale into the Crossmen Hall of Fame Class of 2017.
