2008 Crossmen - Spring Update

After their "Metamorphosis" in 2007, the Crossmen are set to launch an expedition to "Planet X" in 2008. Thanks to the DCI website and Dan Potter, the DCI Field Pass looks at how this iconic Eastern powerhouse has adjusted after a full year in its new home base in Texas. Highlights include interviews with Crossmen director Mark Chambers and CEO Fred Morrison, consultant and corps alum Gary Cuzzocrea, horn sergeant Mark Figueroa, second year vet Russell Rybicki, and drum majors Kyle Bourdon and Meghan Huber. Also, get to hear the first two minutes of the show!

2008 Crossmen History Night - June 7th

Moving to Texas won't stop the Crossmen Alumni from teaching the corps traditions and history of the Crossmen. On Saturday, June 7, 2008 the Crossmen Alumni Association will coninue its tradition and travel to the Crossmen's Spring Training Camp to present the corps members with something we like to call "History Night."

2008 CAA Annual Beef & Beer a Rousing Success!

This year, the Crossmen Alumni Association, some generous anonymous donors, and Crossmen Productions teamed up to raise more than 300 percent more money distributed to 50 percent more members than past years. It has been a great thing to watch the whole Crossmen community come together to help members with some of their expenses.

The Contra Flag - A History

As members and alumni, we all know and take part in the many traditions of the Crossmen, some of which are as old as the corps. However, a new tradition has been started which holds great honor and pride despite being relatively "young." It is one that carries the spirits of those gone but not forgotten-- those spirits that take the field with the corps every night. I'm talking about the Contra Flag, which first appeared in Allentown in 2003. Hopefully this story will give everyone an understanding of what this new tradition is and what it means to us.

Alum Jarrett Lipman Continues to Lead the Crossmen

Jarrett Lipman aged out of the Crossmen as Drum Major this past August in Pasadena. While he is no longer eligible to lead the corps on the field, it hasn't taken him much time to help lead the corps off the field as the newest member of the Crossmen administrative team. In a recent interview with the San Antonio Express News, Jarrett, Corps Director Mark Chambers and Executive Director Fred Morrison talk about the value and the powerful reach of the Crossmen experience. Read it here.
