1975 Crossmen

1999

Induction:

The 1975 Crossmen Drum Corps holds a singular place in the history of the organization. As the first corps fielded after the merger of the 507 Hornets and the Keystone Regiment, this group did far more than compete — they gave life to a new identity, a new tradition, and a new family.

Founded through that merger in October 1974, the Crossmen brought together members, staff, families, and supporters from two proud Pennsylvania drum corps organizations. In 1975, those young performers became the first to wear the Crossmen name and carry it onto the field, establishing the foundation for everything that would follow.

Their season represented courage, unity, and belief. Mergers are never easy. They require people to set aside old rivalries, blend different traditions, and commit to something larger than themselves. The 1975 Crossmen did exactly that. They transformed two histories into one future.

By stepping onto the field as the first Crossmen corps, the members of 1975 created the beginning of a legacy that has now lasted more than 50 years. They helped establish the values, identity, and spirit that generations of Crossmen would come to know: excellence, perseverance, teamwork, character, and above all, family.

For being the corps that started it all — for carrying the Crossmen name for the very first time, for uniting the traditions of the 507 Hornets and Keystone Regiment, and for laying the foundation upon which every future Crossmen season was built — we proudly honor and induct the 1975 Crossmen Drum Corps into the Hall of Fame.
