Florence Crowell
2011
Induction:
Florence Crowell’s induction into the Crossmen Hall of Fame recognizes a legacy of dedication, service, and devotion to the Crossmen family.
Throughout her years of involvement with the corps, Florence represented the kind of quiet, steady commitment that helps sustain an organization across generations. The Crossmen have always depended on people willing to give their time, energy, and heart so that young performers could experience something meaningful, challenging, and life-changing. Florence was one of those people.
Her service reflected a deep belief in the corps, its members, and the values that have long defined the Crossmen: family, perseverance, pride, loyalty, and care for one another. Whether working behind the scenes, supporting the members, helping the organization move forward, or preserving the spirit of the corps through her presence and example, Florence contributed to the foundation that allowed the Crossmen to continue growing.
The strength of the Crossmen has never rested only on what happened on the field. It has also come from those who made sure the corps could function, travel, rehearse, perform, and thrive. Florence’s contributions are part of that larger story — the story of people whose work may not always have been visible to audiences, but whose impact was deeply felt by the members and the organization.
Her Hall of Fame recognition honors not only what she gave to the Crossmen, but the spirit in which she gave it. Florence’s legacy remains part of the fabric of the corps and the alumni family.
For her dedication, service, and lasting commitment to the Crossmen, we proudly honor Florence Crowell as a member of the Crossmen Hall of Fame.
